My Blog's First Official Post

Well, something motivated me (late) tonight to start a blog to capture all the wonderful "mommy adventures" that I've been blessed to experience these past five 1/2 years.  Unfortunately, it was a sad event -- reading about a friend's friend whose three year old son has a rare form of cancer.  This beautiful boy has been battling it since August, and now Drs have said that its spread and he is only expected to live for another 4 weeks to 3 months.  He is currently in Disney World with his family through the generosity of the Make A Wish foundation.  My heart broke for this little boy, his mother and their entire family.  I hope and pray that this little warrior proves the Drs wrong and completely recovers.  I was so moved by his bravery, that I had to send him and his baby brother a bunch of toys for Christmas -- I hope it brings some smiles to their faces when they open these presents.  I only wish I could do more.  After crying my eyes out for this boy, I ran upstairs and pick-up and snuggles both of my sleeping children.  I continue to understand more and more -- just how fragile life is and that we must enjoy every single moment with our loved ones -- especially the "ordinary" days, for that is true life.  So, we shall see where this blog takes me - but now, it's officially been started!
